EOS Directory 2008

The Directory has a fresh new look and format, which makes it even more attractive and indispensable a reference source than before. Updated annually, the EOS Directory is an ideal tool for connecting with peers and colleagues working in the field of optics and photonics. Shipped with Photonik International 2008, the Directory combines both scientific-technical articles and community and network information about optics and photonics in Europe.

Offered as a membership benefit for networking purposes, the EOS Directory is mailed to 5,000 members. The Directory lists the whole membership and gives an overview of the structure and activities of the society.

With the new version (8-pages brochure and CD-ROM), advertising prices could be substantially reduced, making it a cost-effective marketing vehicle for all companies, institutes and organizations who wish to reach a wide audience.

Contact for the EOS Directory 2009: Silke Kramprich, kramprich@myeos.org.

Journal of Modern Optics

www.tandf.co.uk/journals/jmo | societies@tandf.co.uk

The journal was founded in 1953 - some years before the advent of the laser - as an international journal of optics. Since then optical research has changed greatly; fresh areas of inquiry have been explored, different techniques have been employed and the range of application has greatly increased. The journal has continued to reflect these advances as part of its steadily widening scope.  In addition to regular papers there are topical reviews and special issues on highlighted areas Journal of Modern Optics aims to publish original contributions to optical knowledge from educational institutions, government establishments and industrial R&D groups world-wide. The whole field of classical and quantum optics is covered. Papers may deal with the applications of fundamentals of modern optics, considering both experimental and theoretical aspects of contemporary research.

Waves in Random and Complex Media (formerly Waves in Random Media) is a broad interdisciplinary journal that reports theoretical, applied and experimental research related to any wave phenomena.

The Journal is relevant to scientists and engineers working in the field of wave propagation, scattering and imaging in random or complex media. Papers on theoretical developments, experimental results and analytical/numerical studies are considered for publication as well as deterministic problems when also linked to random or complex media. Topics include studies of waves in random and/or complex media, such as tissue or metamaterials, nonlinear, chaotic or fractal media, as well as relevant inverse problems.
